Diamonds on the soles of her boots

Today the snow came softly and without fanfare, covering the old snow with dry ivory flakes that just rested on top of each other, the kind of snow that squeeks when you walk on it. But when it was done and night time set in with a spectacular full moon, the ground sparkled as far as you could see, like God had left diamonds all over the ground. The picture doesn't do justice but you can see what I mean.

I miss taking late night walks and seeing the moon make the snow dance at gazebo park in Walton, NY
