It catches you when you least expect it. After a long day out shopping, dining and enjoying each others company and BAMM out of no where, I find my passenger window crashing into a snow bank and we're spinning out of control and tumbling. I was singing to Paul Simon (off key, but who cares) and then I heard Emil yell "hold on". Our wheels were sliding out from under us. When the ride was over my face was in the snow and Emil was hanging above me, both of us held together by our seat belt. Thank God for seat belts and for watching over us. Our first reaction was to make sure each other was ok, and we were. We were out on a little traveled country road and hoped someone could see us and stop. Funny how you can't find a cell phone when you need one. It didn't take long and several families stopped and called 911 and shared blankets with us and talked while we waited for help. I can't thank them enough for their help and concern. THANK YOU who ever you are and your thoughtfulness will be paid forward, Thank you again. Likewise the Firemen, EMT's, the Deputy Sheriff and the tow truck driver that came to our assistance were a God send too. They had to cut out our shattered windshield to get us out. We both have bruises and sore muscles but our hearts are thankful for all the help we received.
