retirement...

Every so often Emil starts to discuss our retirement. Wednesday night at dinner he told me to decide where I wanted to live and what area would be the most economical, that he will be ready to retire soon. It's hard to decide, we have lived so many places but to be practicle we have to remember we have a home in Visalia, CA.,

very close to our children. But then we also have a home in

Clifton Heights, PA,

very close to our brothers and his Mom. But then I have always wanted to have a home on the beach in Cape May, NJ.

So what I need is a home in NEWPENSYLFORNIA.

California Wildfires

California wildfire overall statistics as of today:
_ Acreage: More than 458,000 (more than 700 square miles).
_ Homes destroyed: More than 1,400, according to individual county reports.
_Deaths: One fire death, five fire-related deaths.
_ Injuries: 26 civilians, 40 firefighters.
The Santa Clarita, Stevenson's Ranch fires are the closest to us. About 150 miles and a 2 hour trip South. About 30 minutes above Los Angelos. They are located along rt 5, on the other side of the "grape vine". This is a trip taken many times when we're headed to LAX or Disney and beyond.
Still hundreds of thousands in Southern California are wondering tonight if they will still have their homes once the wildfires are done burning. A state of emergency has been declared in seven counties.
Please remember these families and the fire fighters in your prayers.

I just received and wanted to share some beautiful pictures of my cousin Patty's grandchildren: Trent and Zachary. It never ceases to amaze me that another generation is here.

Week 32 and still counting...

Week 32 was the goal and Jaime and the babies have made it. But now it seems she is doing so good, Dr Helm is expecting her to hang in there 3 to 4 more weeks. The longer she carries them, the better the chances that they will go home at birth instead of NICU at the Childrens Hospital. We are all getting anxious to hug these little guys but God has his own plans.

ALL I WANT

for Christmas is my two front teeth...

mini midweek update

Jaime was feeling so much better today, she finally had her hair washed and it felt sooo good. They lowered her mag IV solution and stopped the indomethacin (this can't be given after the 31st week). Emilia has moved out of the ribs and possibly turned. The boys are already with their heads in the canal area.

The little lines going up and down on the right side is Jaime laughing. I haven't seen her do that for awhile. The arc in the center is a mild contraction. The 2 little blips on either side of the arc is Jaime "shooting bunnies", that's why we were laughing so hard.
I just want to thank everyone so much for the phone calls, cards and flowers. It really does mean a lot to her that you all are thinking about her and the babies. Thanks , I love you all too.

Thanks 26 Arch

Jaime sends her love and so do I...

Week 31 and counting....

This is a picture of Jaime's flowers and gifts, from friends and family, that help brighten her room and spirits. I bought her a pumpkin to remind her to count her blessings.
Jaime's contractions continue to increase and it is still to the babies benefit to stop preterm labor. Up till recently just the magnesium sulfate was controlling things, but they have had to increase the dosage and add other treatments to help. The end of last week they started subcutaneous Terbutaline pump therapy ( this little device attaches through her leg ) and Indomethacin is given orally. When they make these changes, Jaime goes through some uncomfortable physical and mental changes, and sleeping at night has been next to impossible. But last night she slept through most of the night. When I talked to her this morning she sounded so much better. All of your caring and prayers are so appreciated, thanks everyone...

Week 30 update

Still hanging in there and everyone is doing great. Constant monitoring of Seth, Aiden and Emilia's heart beats and Jaime's contraction's which are being controlled with an IV drip. (magnesium sulfate) She's not real comfortable but her spirits are up.
Dr Helm wants her to hang in there at least 2 more weeks.

Two more celebrations

October 1, Happy Birthday to Jake

October 2, a very merry Birthday to Skyler

Just for the records

Both nights of camping this past weekend I had dreams of a two headed turtle. Pretty weird, huh? Emil (son) insisted this is blog worthy. In both dreams he/she was sitting on the kitchen sink by the faucet. The second night, one of his/her heads was wilted and he/she was looking very sad and loosing it's vibrant green color. I hesitated to use my over sized red plastic mixing bowl Jen gave me last Christmas but time was of the essence and I felt they needed water. I put them in after filling the bowl with water and to my surprise, after seconds all health returned and they jumped out of the bowl, spilling all the water and disapeared. The water was green.

That's it.....so now. I'm trying to find a picture on the internet of my turtle dream. This is probably the closest I could find.

Then what's even freakier, I look up at my TV and Regis & Kelly are showing a picture from Tuesday's NY paper of twin turtles from a Norristown, PA pet shop.

Don't get me wrong, I have way better dreams than this, I just can't put them on this family site, maybe they're on literotica, hmmm

Camping weekend in Morro Bay

Radojka's first camping trip. Steve, Jen, Emil, Nathan, Radojka and me. The weather was beautiful, we even had a warm Santa Anna wind hit mid night on Saturday.

hot dogs, marsh mallows, s'mores, Bailey's, Capt Morgan and cigars all add to the campfire fun...

We did some shopping in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Em and Rado went to a Mustang football game Saturday evening. Steve and Nate carved a pumpkin. Got in a little exploring on the beach and it all made for a perfect family weekend get away.
