Family Vacation

Kenny, Rose, Nicole, Shannon and Mom came out to visit us and enjoy the California sun. The 10 days flew by so fast and we had a wonderful time. We tried to share some of our favorite places with them, starting out with Disney and the Coast. Then some nature time in Yosemite and Sequioa National Parks. A little wine country, and plenty of fruit, nut and veggie landscape. Lots of delicious food and a taste of Mexican quisine at Colimas and drinking Sake at the Japanese Tokyo Garden restaurant . We finished up checking out the Hollywood stars addresses on a map in Santa Monica and then it was time to take off at LAX. We had a blast, Buzz lightyear style and can't wait to do it again.

Adirondacks plus

What a beautiful day! We spent the day with friends in the Adirondacks, enjoyed dinner and boating on Lake Champlain. When evening rolled around we headed to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with Larry and Tomi, to enjoy the Philadelphia Orchestra performing Mozart, Stravinsky and Ravel.
Sunday and Monday we'll be exploring the Finger Lakes and Tuesday down to New York City for the day.

Mini Vay Cay in New York

Emil and I are spending an extended mini vacation in upstate NY, sightseeing and spending time with friends. The weather is cloudy and muggy but the mountains are beautiful. Going to see the Philadelphia Symphony tonight in the Adirondacks.

Do You Know the Way to San Jose?

On Thursday Steve and I took a day trip to San Jose to catch up with my bestest cousins, Bonnie and Patty, before Patty returns to Florida for the new school year. We had fun catching up on all the family happenings. The afternoon went by way to quick. The best part was finally meeting Shannon's beautiful little girls, Courtney and Kaitlyn. Bonnie, Patty and I have so many great memories as kids growing up, and then as parents raising our own children. And now we get to share all these times with our grandchildren..... We have all lived in different places and time goes by in between visits but it always feels "just like yesterday when we were together last".
